Webstore Seller News

Amazon Webstore is Open for European Business: In July 2011 we launched the Amazon European Seller Account and the European Fulfillment Network (EFN) for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). US Webstore Sellers that register for a new account in the UK can now take advantage of selling on Amazon in Europe. It is easy, fast, and hassle-free.

The Amazon European Seller Account allows you to sell your products on all of our European Marketplaces (in Italy, France, Germany and the UK) from a single, convenient European seller account. This innovation really simplifies the management of your inventory and sales activity across Amazon Europe, and gives you an unmissable opportunity to expand your business internationally by leveraging Amazon's established international Marketplaces for your business.

The European Fulfillment Network (EFN) for FBA allows you to radically simplify your European delivery logistics, even by FBA's high standards. EFN allows you to store all your inventory in a single European Fulfillment Centre, from where your European Marketplace orders will be fulfilled throughout the European Union (regardless of which European Marketplace generated the sale). For example, you can store your inventory in the UK; if an Italian buyer purchases a product you offered on Amazon.fr, EFN for FBA will deliver the product to France from the UK.

FBA: Estimate Long-Term Storage Fee with the Inventory Health Report: Our recent update of the report incorporates two primary changes that sellers requested to improve its usefulness.

First, we have added new columns to provide more insight into how much aging inventory will be assessed the Long-Term Storage Fee. This version of the report now shows you specifically how many Units of each product will be assessed the Long-Term Storage Fee (i.e., the number of Units that will have been in the fulfillment centers for 365 days or longer on August 15, 2011) and the projected fee applied to each product if a removal request has not been placed prior to the next Inventory Cleanup event.

Another requested addition was a field that would enable sellers to compare their prices to other sellers' matching listings. The fields "your-price" and "sales-price" are now available, so you can see how your prices measure up to other FBA listings and non-FBA listing for both new and used products. We also have added an online version of the report. If you have been using the Inventory Age Report, you should begin using the Inventory Health Report by August 15, 2011.

Site Features: When you use Seller Central to maintain your Webstore, you are using a collection of Seller Central tools or features. Each feature provides certain functionality to your Webstore. Not all features are added by default. With the addition of the Site Features page, you can now control the addition or subtraction of optional Webstore features any time you wish. The Site Features tab appears as a new sub-nav under Store Design tab and includes a review wizard as you review and edit the changes make. Once reviewed, you can publish, or release, the feature on your live site. Site Feature helps make implementing otherwise complex eCommerce features, like Customer Reviews and Wish Lists, easier and on demand. Learn how to manage your Webstore Site Features.
